Merchants can add brand specific instructions that shape the shopper agent’s behavior and voice. We append their text to the system prompt as “Additional specific instructions”, so it combines with the base profile, tone, and communication style.

Sizing or fit heuristics, returns and shipping nuances
Compliance lines, claims do not make X, avoid Y
What it will not do:
It will not add new product or policy data, use Knowledge or Shopify for that
It will not bypass safety guardrails
It will not enable disabled tools or try on
How to implement:
Using the templates below, fill in 3 to 6 bullets per section.
Paste into Custom Prompt, click Save.
Test in Sessions with 3 to 5 common journeys, sizing, returns, recommendations.
If answers look too long or off brand, tighten bullets or edit tone and communication style.
