Tolstoy’s AI Studio allows you to transform static product images into high-converting videos using professionally designed templates. This automated process enables you to create on-brand motion content for your entire catalog without needing a production team.
Key Update: The AI Drafts Workflow
In the latest version of Tolstoy, all newly generated AI Studio content is saved to AI Drafts rather than the Library.
Approval Required: Videos in AI Drafts are not visible in any playlists or live widgets until they are approved.
Quality Control: This moderation flow allows you to tweak, regenerate, or approve assets before they go live on your site.
How to Create a Video Using a Template
Follow these steps to generate your first AI video:
Step 1: Open the AI Agent Navigate to the Agent window in your Tolstoy account. You can choose from Popular AI Studio Templates or click See All to browse the full Template Library.
Step 2: Start the Generation Find a template that matches your brand’s aesthetic (e.g., "Product Spotlight" or "Lifestyle Motion") and click the Create Video button.
Step 3: Provide Product & Model Details The AI Chat Agent will guide you through the setup. You will be prompted to select the specific Product from your catalog and the Model you wish to feature in the video.
Step 4: Choose Your Base Image The AI will generate several image samples (typically 1–4, depending on your Output Settings). These serve as the foundation for your video.
Step 5: Animate and Tag Reply to the AI Chat Agent to select your preferred sample for animation. The AI will then generate a video that is automatically tagged to your selected product.
Step 6: Approve from AI generations - Your video is now saved in AI Creations. To make it live, click Add to Library.
This moves the content to the My Library window, where you can finalize it for use in your playlists and widgets.
