In Tolstoy’s AI Studio, you have granular control over how your images and videos are generated. By adjusting the Output Settings, you can balance creative variety with resource management (tokens) and ensure every asset is perfectly optimized for its destination, whether it's a Shopify product page or an Instagram Reel.

Step-by-Step Configuration

Follow these steps to access and modify your settings:

Step 1: Locate the AI Chat Agent

Open the AI Chat agent. This interface is accessible directly from your Home page or by navigating to the AI Studio tab on the left navigation panel.

Step 2: Access Output Settings

Within the chat interface, look for the Auto dropdown menu. Click it and select Output Settings from the list.

Step 3: Configure Your Preferences

A window will appear with two tabs: Image and Video. Select the tab you wish to edit and adjust the toggles based on the definitions provided above.

  • Video Settings:

Understanding Output Settings

Before generating, it is important to understand the two primary configuration categories:

1. Image Settings

By default, AI Studio generates four variations for every image prompt. This provides a diverse range of styles to choose from. However, if you are looking to conserve tokens or have a very specific vision, you can reduce this number.

  • Aspect Ratio: Defines the shape of your image. Choose Square (1:1) for feeds, Landscape (16:9) for headers, or Portrait (9:16) for mobile-first content.

  • Quality: Determines the level of detail and resolution. High quality is best for professional storefronts, while Low or Medium can speed up generation during the brainstorming phase.

  • Number of Outputs: Control how many unique variations the AI produces per prompt (1–4). Lowering this number helps manage your token usage.

2. Video Settings

Video settings allow you to dictate the cinematic feel and technical specifications of your motion content.

  • Duration: Sets the length of your video clip. Choose Short for quick teasers or Long for more detailed product demonstrations.

  • Aspect Ratio: Matches your video to the intended platform (e.g., 9:16 for TikTok/Reels or 16:9 for YouTube/Websites).

  • Quality: Adjusts the frame rate and resolution. Higher settings result in smoother, crisper motion at the cost of higher token consumption.

  • Audio: Enable or disable AI-generated background audio or voiceovers to accompany your visuals.

Pro-Tip: Reset to Default

If you find yourself needing to return to Tolstoy's optimized standard settings, simply click the Reset to Default button at the bottom of the settings window to clear all custom configurations.
