Transform your creative vision into reality with the Magic Brush, a powerful tool within Tolstoy’s AI Studio designed for granular image editing. This feature allows you to "paint" over specific areas of an image and provide the AI with targeted instructions—whether you want to swap an outfit, change a background element, or add entirely new details to a product shot.

By combining manual selection with natural language prompts, Magic Brush gives you surgical control over your assets without the need for complex design software.

How to Use Magic Brush

The Magic Brush is currently optimized for static images within your AI Studio projects. Follow these steps to refine your visuals:

  1. Open AI Studio: Click Create on the left-hand navigation panel to enter the AI Studio workspace.

  2. Locate Your Project: Under the Agent Chats section, find and open the specific project containing the image you wish to edit.

  3. Activate Magic Brush: Select the image you want to modify. Click the Menu Options (kebab icon) > More > Magic Brush.

  4. Mark Your Selection: * Adjust the brush size to match the detail you are editing.

    • Paint over the specific part of the image you want the AI to change.

    • In the AI Agent text box below the image, enter your prompt (e.g., "Change the color of this bag to emerald green" or "Add a professional studio shadow here").

    • Click Generate.

  5. Review AI Generations: The Chat Agent will process your request and generate a series of results. The number of variations provided will depend on your specific output settings.

  6. Finalize and Export: Browse the generated options. Once you find the perfect edit, you can choose to:

    • Animate the image into a video.

    • Save it directly to your Library.

    • Tag a product to make the asset shoppable.

Best Practices for Magic Brush

  • Be Descriptive: Instead of saying "Change this," try "Change this wooden chair to a modern white marble stool."

  • Brush Accuracy: Ensure your brush strokes cover the entire object and its immediate edges to help the AI blend the new generation seamlessly with the original background.

  • Iterate: If the first result isn't perfect, try refining your prompt or slightly adjusting the brushed area for better context.
