Trending Videos Offsite Widget in Klaviyo

The Trending Videos off-site widget is a versatile feature designed primarily for email campaigns but can also be used in flows. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and configuring this widget for your e-commerce store.

Getting Started

Select "Trending videos" to begin creating your widget.

Note: This widget is suitable for all email platforms.

Selecting Videos

  1. By default, two playlists are selected: Product Tagged and Trending Videos.

    1. You can choose any playlists you prefer.

  2. Reorder and pin positions to feature specific videos:

    1. Drag and drop to reorder videos

    2. Use the pin icon to fix a video's position

GIF Configuration

Under the "Design" section, locate the GIF settings.

Link to:

Set where the GIF click leads.

  • Default: New TV page, a TV page automatically created on your store showing only video and store's header.

  • Alternative: Specific page on your store, video will play on that page.

UTM Parameters:

  • Add UTM parameters for tracking and analytics tools like Google Analytics.

  • This will help track traffic coming from users who click the GIF to your store.

Important: After adding UTM parameters, you must re-copy and paste the widget code.

Video Feed Behavior

To change whether you want the video to open in full screen or picture-in-picture mode:

  • Go to "Video Feed" section

  • Toggle the "View Feed in full screen" option as desired

Publishing Your Widget

In Tolstoy

  1. Select your email tool to ensure we track the correct email attribute.

  2. Copy the provided code snippet.

In Email Platform

Add the copied HTML code to your email using one of these methods:

  1. Via the source code of a block

  2. Using the native HTML editor

Note: You can add this widget to both email flows and campaigns (blast or drip).

Troubleshooting

If you don't see the GIF even though you have three or more videos featured, please contact support for assistance.
