This article explains how to exclude variants from appearing as available variants in the Tolstoy player in just one step.
For example, it might be useful, if you created a variant for a product that wasn't launched yet.
How to exclude variants:
Go to Branding, under Settings, and paste the variant ID you want to exclude in the "Variants to hide" section. You can add multiple variant IDs separated by commas.

How to find the variant ID:
Go to your Shopify admin and click on Products.
Select a product that contains a variant/(s) that you'd like to hide. You can do this on multiple products.
Click on the “Edit” button to open the product variant page. In this example, we are going to hide the "Minis" variant.
Check the URL in your browser’s address bar and you’ll see the variant ID. The number after “/variants/” is the product variant ID number. In this example, the variant ID is “44599105028346”
Now, see it in action. Go to your product page and click on the Tolstoy (it's a story in this example).
When you click on the drop-down, you'll only see the remaining variants - Miniature, Regular, Grand, and Giant. The Minis variant has been hidden.
