Increase engagement, add dynamics, and boost sales by adding Tolstoy’s Shoppable videos to your email campaigns.
Before you begin:
There are three types of videos that you can share:
1. Swipeable - (Shoppable video feed) transform your videos into a dynamic shopping experience by tagging products.
2. Branching - (Interactive video) creating videos that include Calls-To-Action (CTAs). Guide your audience through a personalized journey by enabling them to make choices within the video.
3. A single video - for a straightforward approach, select the Branching format and upload a single video.
Here are the steps:
Go to Offsite - > Click New Tolstoy -> Choose between Swipeable or Branching.
For Shoppable video feed, tag products by clicking the search icon and choosing the product/(s) to tag.
Once done, click Publish.
Go to the Email tab. Then select your email distribution system. Add tracking if necessary, then copy code and paste it into your tool.
Send your Tolstoy through an Email Automation Tool
Tolstoy can be shared through any email automation tool that supports custom HTML, such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Sendgrid and Omnisend! Also, we are integrated both with Outreach and Salesloft.
Klaviyo
Select Klaviyo as your email distribution system. Copy the code.
Navigate to your email template in Klaviyo. Edit the content and add Custom HTML.
Paste the email code anywhere in the body of the email, where you want the gif to appear.
Click Save.
That's it! When you send your email, an embedded gif of your Tolstoy will appear.
Mailchimp
Select Mailchimp as your email distribution system. Copy the code.
Create a new email template on Mailchimp, and drag a Code element to the template.
Paste the embed email code, and click Save & close.
Click Save and Exit.
That's it! Your template is saved and ready to be sent 😌
Yotpo.
Select Yotpo as your email distribution system. Copy the code.
Navigate to your email campaign in Yotpo. Edit the content and drag HTML to the section where you want the gif to appear in your email.
Insert the HTML in the code editor. Then, click Save & close.
That's it! Your email campaign is saved and ready to be sent.
SendGrid
In Step 1, Select email distribution system and choose SendGrid from the drop-down menu. In Step 2 click Copy code.
Create a new email in SendGrid. In the Build tab, click on Code and drag it to your template.
Paste the code and click Update.
That's it! Click on Review content and send to send your email.
Send your Tolstoy to One Person
In Step 1 select Gmail or Other as your email distribution tool. In Step 2, click on Add tracking and put the email address of your addressee. Tick Add viewer tracking. In Step 3, copy the code.
Draft a new email to your client and paste the code, which will generate a gif.
Once sent, the gif will redirect the client to a Tolstoy page!
Centering your Tolstoy Gif
If for some reason you're struggling to center your Tolstoy within the email, you can use this code snippet:
