How to Create Tolstoy Stories

Hey, there! If you're looking to catch your customers' attention, Tolstoy's got your back with the "Stories" feature. This tool lets you create short, snappy videos that are sure to impress. Our article has all the info you need to get started, from the basics to expert tips and tricks for creating killer content. So whether you're a total newbie or a seasoned pro, come join us and let's jump into the wild and imaginative world of "Stories" together!

2. Under the Onsite section, click on New Tolstoy.

Click on New Tolstoy

3. Click on Stories.

4. Choose where you want your stories to display.

5. Click on Manual.

6. Click on the "+" sign to add your video.

7. Choose the type of content you want to use for your Stories. You can film a video on the spot, upload a video file, use stock footage, and even import TikTok or Instagram videos!

8. Choose if you want to create a Shoppable or Description side panel type.

If you chose Shoppable, add the product from your site that you want on your Stories.

If you chose a Description, instead of a product, you can add a description to your Stories.

You can add another button with a link. Toggle ON the Link button, add the Text and paste the URL.

Add more parts to your Stories to make them scrollable, and be sure to name your parts! Part names are visible on the Stories. Click Save once done.

Feed

Make videos shoppable - adding products within the video, allowing viewers to directly purchase or explore the featured items while watching the video.

View feed in fullscreen - Allows you to view the feed in fullscreen mode, providing a better viewing experience.

Auto-scroll to next video - Automatically scrolls to the next video when the current video has ended, providing a seamless viewing experience.

Play unviewed videos first - Plays unviewed videos first in your feed, ensuring that you never miss a new post from your favorite accounts.


Product details

Sales badge - Display a badge on products that are on sale, catching the attention of potential buyers.

Shipping - Displays shipping information for products, making it easier for buyers to make purchasing decisions.

Show in-stock / out-of-stock - Displays whether a product is in-stock or out of stock, providing transparency to potential buyers.

Recommended products - Displays recommended products on your page, potentially increasing sales and customer engagement.

Subscriptions - refer to a recurring payment arrangement where you pay a predetermined fee at regular intervals (such as monthly or annually) to access a product, service, or content on an ongoing basis.

Stories

Border radius - Customizes the shape of your Stories, allowing you to create unique and eye-catching content.

Alignment - Aligns your Stories in a specific position on your page, providing a consistent look and feel to your content.

Motion - Adds motion effects to your Stories, making your content more dynamic and engaging.

Items size - Can be Responsive or Fixed. Responsive automatically shows as many items as possible according to the story width. Fixed shows all the items/stories.

Size - Allows you to adjust the size of your Stories, ensuring that they fit perfectly on your page.

Spacing - Allows you to modify the distance or gap between stories. It provides the option to adjust the amount of space between each individual story, allowing for customization based on personal preference or design requirements.

Border - Can be customized in terms of thickness, color, type, and transparency.

Border thickness - Customizes the thickness of the border around your Stories, creating a more distinct and defined look.

Border color - Customizes the color of the border around your Stories, allowing you to match your brand's color scheme.

Border type - Customizes the type of border around your Stories, providing a variety of options to choose from.

Transparency - Adjusts the transparency of your Stories, allowing you to create unique and creative effects.

Title - Adds a title to your Stories, providing context and information to your viewers.

Story name - Allows you to add a name to your Stories, making it easier to navigate and find your content.



Thumbnail

Appearance - Allows customization of the appearance of video parts and thumbnails.

Branding

Logo - you can change your Player logo or Emails logo.

Font - you can change your Brand font or Front facing language.

Buttons

Border radius - Determines the roundness or curvature of the corners of the button.

Primary text color - Refers to the main or primary color used for the text of the button.

Primary background color - Represents the main or primary color that fills the background of the button.

Primary button border - Describes the border style and appearance of the primary button, which is typically the main or prominent button in a design.

Secondary text color - Denotes the secondary or alternative color used for the text on a secondary button, usually different from the primary text color.

Secondary background color - Represents the secondary or alternative color that fills the background of the secondary button, typically different from the primary background color.

Secondary button border - Describes the border style and appearance of a secondary button, which is usually a secondary or less prominent button in a design.

Secondary border thickness - Determines the thickness or width of the border surrounding the secondary button when using secondary styling.

Secondary border color - Represents the color of the border surrounding the secondary button when using secondary styling, usually different from the primary button border color.
