In any Tolstoy, you can ask your viewers to identify themselves by adding a lead form that requests their name, email address, phone number, and/or any custom field! To set it up, follow these simple steps!

Create your lead form

  1. Head over to the Lead form section.

  2. You will be redirected to the lead form editor.

You can customize the lead form to your preference, like so -

Lead form prompt - enables you to choose the message that will appear in the lead form.

Open after part - here you can choose when in the Tolstoy the lead form will appear. Note that when this field is set to None, the lead form will only show up when the user chooses a Lead Form response (click here to learn about types of responses). Any other setting will prompt the user to fill out the Lead Form, regardless of the answer.

Email, Name, Phone - toggle on to ask the viewers for these details as well. If you tick the box near Required, the user will be required to fill the section.
Add field - enables you to add another field of your choice.

Furthermore, you are able to customize the screen color of each added field, by clicking on the colored circle to the right of the row -

Select Consent if you want your viewers to approve your terms and conditions! Toggling Consent will open the fields below - if you want to link a word to your terms and conditions, simply add two curly brackets in front of it, like {{so}}.

Select Advanced if you want respondents to be allowed to fill out the lead form only once.

  3. After customizing your Lead Form, click Save.

  4. And you're set! Your lead form is now in your Tolstoy, and will look like this -

Note that if you're requesting for multiple items, they will be requested one after another.

Choose when the lead form appears

  • Set the lead form to appear in a specific answer

Go to the Tolstoy part you would like to prompt the lead form. Add a Lead form response.

Go to the Lead form tab.

Set the Open after part to "None".

  • Set the lead form to appear for all choices

In your Lead form tab, set Open after part to anything but "None". This will mean that regardless of the user's choices, the lead form will appear after the part you set.

That's it! Your audience will be prompted to answer your lead form ☁️
