Virtual Try-On Update: Touch Up, Animate and Share Removed

What changed in See It On You and try-on settings after Touch up, Animate, and Share were removed from shopper try-ons.

Written by David T

Tolstoy removed the Touch up, Animate, and Share buttons that appeared under a shopper’s try-on result. Merchants also no longer see the Enhance / Animate upgrade preview in the See It On You setup.

Two settings changed with it:

  • Enhanced Try-ons is now one toggle. When it is on, every try-on is generated as the polished, magazine-quality version (slower, about 60–90 seconds, 8 credits per image). There is no separate "Default to Enhanced" toggle anymore.

  • Allow Video Try-ons replaces "Allow Animated Try-ons". It controls the short-video option in Video Try-On and Complete the Look (10–20 credits per video).

Past enhanced and animated results stay in the shopper’s profile. Share links that shoppers already sent still open, but no new share links are created.

How to Publish

You do not need to republish. These settings save to your AI agent and apply to live See It On You, Beauty Try-On, Video Try-On, and Complete the Look experiences.

Best Practices

  • Leave Enhanced Try-ons off if speed matters most. Turn it on when image quality matters more than wait time.

  • If you mention Touch up, Animate, or Share on your store or in shopper emails, remove those mentions.

  • Use Video Try-On or Complete the Look if you want shoppers to get short try-on videos.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Where did the Touch up and Animate buttons go?
They were removed from the shopper try-on. To give every shopper the polished version, turn on Enhanced Try-ons. Short videos are still available in Video Try-On and Complete the Look when Allow Video Try-ons is on.

A shopper still saw a Touch up button.
A storefront may keep an older widget version cached for a short time. Refresh the page. Once the cache updates, the button is gone.

Will shoppers lose their past enhanced or animated try-ons?
No. Past results stay in the shopper’s profile under My try-ons.

Do old share links still work?
Yes. Links shoppers already shared still open. Shoppers cannot create new share links.
