Connecting your TikTok account to Tolstoy lets you import TikTok videos into your Tolstoy Library so you can use them in shoppable videos, onsite widgets, and other Tolstoy experiences. This helps merchants reuse high-performing social content, tag products, and publish engaging video experiences faster.

You do not need a paid TikTok account to connect TikTok to Tolstoy. Publishing Tolstoy experiences to your store may require an active Tolstoy plan with publishing access.

How to Set Up

  1. Log in to your Tolstoy account.

  2. Go to Library ➜ Media ➜ All Sources ➜ Connect TikTok.

  3. You will be redirected to TikTok.

  4. Log in to the TikTok account you want to connect.

  5. Approve the requested permissions so Tolstoy can access your basic profile information and video list.

  6. Once approved, you will be redirected back to Tolstoy.

  7. Your TikTok videos will appear in the TikTok section of your Library.

How to Publish

Connecting TikTok does not publish anything automatically. After your videos are available in Tolstoy:

  1. Go to Library and open your TikTok videos.

  2. Select the video you want to use.

  3. Add it to a new or existing Tolstoy.

  4. Tag products if needed.

  5. Open the Tolstoy you want to publish. Choose where you want the Tolstoy to appear, such as your homepage, product page, or another onsite placement.

  6. Go to the Publish tab.

  7. Follow the publishing steps and save your changes.

  8. Visit your live store page to confirm the Tolstoy appears correctly.

Best Practices

  • Connect the TikTok account that contains the videos you want to reuse in Tolstoy.

  • Make sure the videos are relevant to the products you plan to tag.

  • Use short, clear, high-performing TikTok videos for product pages.

  • Refresh your Library if newly connected videos do not appear right away.

  • If you manage multiple TikTok accounts, confirm you are logged into the correct TikTok account before connecting.

Why don’t I see my TikTok videos in Tolstoy?
Try refreshing the Library. If the videos still do not appear, confirm that you approved TikTok permissions during setup and that you connected the correct TikTok account.

I connected the wrong TikTok account. What should I do?
Log out of TikTok in your browser, return to Tolstoy, and connect again using the correct TikTok account.

Does connecting TikTok automatically publish videos to my store?
No. Connecting TikTok only imports videos into your Tolstoy Library. You still need to add the video to a Tolstoy and publish it manually.

Can Tolstoy access my private TikTok login details?
No. Tolstoy connects through TikTok’s authorization flow and does not store your TikTok password.

Why am I being asked to approve permissions?
TikTok requires you to approve access before Tolstoy can display your TikTok profile information and video list.
