Video Player Settings lets you control the appearance and behavior of Tolstoy's storefront video player across supported experiences. It helps merchants keep playback behavior, product cards, in-feed PDPs, and CTA styling consistent with their brand and shopping flow.
Controls
Sound removed from videos by default: Keeps Tolstoy videos muted by default across the player experience.
Always start on mute: Starts the player muted when a shopper opens it, while still allowing them to unmute later.
Checkout & shopping bag: Enables the in-player shopping bag and checkout flow so shoppers can add products and move toward purchase directly from the player.
Border radius: Adjusts how rounded the feed buttons appear, from sharper corners to a more circular look.
Button opacity: Controls how transparent or solid the feed button background looks.
Button color: Sets the feed button background color to black or white, with the icon color automatically adjusted for contrast.
Feed Behavior
Header color: Changes the color of header text shown in the feed product details area.
Body color: Changes the color of supporting body text shown in the feed product details area.
Corners radius: Adjusts how rounded the fallback primary button appears.
Include product price: Adds the product price to the primary button when that layout supports it.
Quantity picker: Adds a quantity selector to supported add-to-cart flows so shoppers can choose how many items to add.
Image fit: Controls how product images are scaled inside the card, with Fill covering the space and Fit keeping the full image visible.
Image background: Controls the background behind product images, with Solid using a standard background and Blurry adding a blurred backdrop when extra space appears.
Hide Out of Stock products: Removes unavailable products from the product details card so shoppers only see items that are in stock.
Use default price instead of placeholder: Shows the stored product price while live pricing is loading instead of showing a placeholder.
Variants to hide: Lets you hide specific product variants from the player by entering their variant IDs as a comma-separated list.
Feed Product Card
Metafield namespace and key: Pulls the product subtitle from a specific product metafield using the namespace.key format.
Move to pdp on product click: Sends shoppers to the product detail page when they click the product in the card.
Show Afterpay: Displays Afterpay messaging in supported product views when Afterpay is available.
Clip product title after: Limits the in-video product title to the selected number of lines.
Clip variant subtitle after: Limits the in-video variant subtitle to the selected number of lines.

Open to variant image: Opens the product image carousel on the selected variant’s image when that variant has its own image.
Available options only: Shows only variant options that are currently available based on the shopper’s selection.
