Connect Tolstoy MCP to Perplexity

Connect Studio MCP or Library MCP to Perplexity.

Before you start

Choose which Tolstoy MCP connection you want to add. The client setup steps are the same for Studio MCP and Library MCP; the URL is the part that changes.

  • Studio MCP: generate and iterate on Studio images or videos.

  • Library MCP: browse, search, inspect, rename, or favorite Tolstoy library assets.

How to connect Perplexity

  1. Use a Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise plan. Free accounts cannot use custom connectors.

  2. Open Settings -> Connectors.

  3. Click + Custom connector.

  4. Set transport to Remote, name it Tolstoy or Tolstoy Library, paste the matching MCP URL, and choose OAuth.

  5. Open the connector card and complete OAuth.

  6. Use research or agent mode when you want Perplexity to call Tolstoy tools. Plain quick-search responses may not use connectors.
