Collection Tile widgets now give you precise control over which videos appear on which products in your Shopify collections. Instead of relying on automatic video discovery, you can manually assign specific videos to individual products and choose exactly which collections display video tiles.
Accessing Collection Tile Settings
Step 1: Navigate to Website
Click on Website in the left sidebar navigation.
Step 2: Open Shoppable Videos
Click on Shoppable Videos in the secondary sidebar under "My Website." You'll see a list of your widgets organized by status—Live and Draft.
Step 3: Select Your Collection Tile Widget
Find your Collection Tile widget and click on it to open the editor. You can use the search bar to filter by name if you have many widgets.
Setting Up Product-Video Mappings
Once inside the Collection Tile editor, you'll see the Content section in the left panel with options for configuring your widget.
Step 4: Open the Content Settings
In the editor, locate the Media → Content section which contains:
- Collections — Select which Shopify collections should display video tiles
- Product-Video Mappings — Manually assign videos to specific products
Step 5: Add a Product-Video Mapping
Click the + Add mapping button to open the product selection dialog. You'll see a searchable list of your products.
Select a product from the list to proceed to the video selection step, where you can choose which video should appear on that product's tile.
Tips
- Collection filtering: Use the Collections selector to restrict video tiles to specific Shopify collections rather than displaying them on all collection pages.
- Fallback behavior: If you don't create any manual mappings, the widget will continue using automatic video discovery based on your recent assets.
- Preview your changes: Use the Collection Preview panel on the right side of the editor to see how video tiles will appear on product cards before publishing.
- Remove mappings: You can delete any product-video mapping from the list if you want to return to automatic discovery for that product.
