Trending Videos Offsite Widget (Klaviyo) in the New Platform

The Trending Videos off-site widget is a versatile feature designed primarily for email campaigns but can also be used in flows. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and configuring this widget for your e-commerce store.

Getting Started

  1. Go to Surfaces

  2. Click Email & App

  3. Select Create Email & App Surface

  4. Choose Email Social Carousel

Note: This widget is currently available only for Klaviyo.

Selecting Videos

  1. Go to the Media section.

  2. Choose the playlist(s) you want to use.

  3. To feature specific videos:

    1. Selecting an option from the Order by dropdown (Random, Newest to Oldest, or Oldest to Newest)

    1. Dragging and dropping videos to reorder them

    2. Using the pin icon to lock a video’s position

Design & Behavior Settings

Tile Actions

Link To

Choose where users are directed when they click a video tile.

  • Specific Page (default)
    Direct users to a specific page on your store.

Page URL

  • Paste the full URL of the page where you want the video to open

UTM Parameters

  • Add UTM parameters to track clicks in analytics tools like Google Analytics

Video Feed Behavior

  • Toggle Auto-open video feed if you want the feed to open automatically.

  • To control how the video opens:

    1. Go to Video Feed

    2. Open Behavior

    3. Toggle View feed in full screen on or off (full screen vs picture-in-picture)

Publishing Your Widget

In Tolstoy

  1. Select your email tool to ensure we track the correct email attribute.

  2. Copy the provided code snippet.

In Email Platform

Add the copied HTML code to your email using one of these methods:

  1. Via the source code of a block

  2. Using the native HTML editor

Note: You can add this widget to both email flows and campaigns (blast or drip).
