Tagging your videos in Tolstoy is key to displaying them effectively across your ecommerce store, including product detail pages (PDPs), home pages, and collection pages. This guide will walk you through how to tag your videos.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
For Shopify users: You can tag products directly by going to the Library tab and clicking the Tag a product button on the video you want to tag. Your Shopify products will be automatically pulled into Tolstoy.
For native sites or other ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Wix, etc.): You’ll need to upload a CSV file containing your products to the Tolstoy app. This lets you tag your videos with products. Without uploading a CSV, you won’t be able to tag products.
Tagging Individual Videos
Go Library (My Library) - On the left panel, click on Tag a product.
Once your Tolstoy library loads, you can search for a specific product to tag by typing it into the search bar at the top.
Select Products - Check the box to the left of the products that you want to tag in the video. You can tag one or multiple products in each video.
Tagging Multiple Videos
Select Videos - In your library, click the top left corner of all the videos that you want to tag for a product or products. Click on the 'Tag products' icon located at the top right of the page.
Tag Products - Use the search bar at the top of the product box that appears to select which product or products you want to tag in the videos. You can tag all items by clicking on the Select all option.
Instagram Autotag
The Instagram Autotag feature in Tolstoy automatically tags products in videos for connected Instagram accounts, using the products tagged with Instagram Shopping tags. This automation is crucial for making your store stand out and engaging your audience with shoppable videos.
Setting Up Instagram Autotag
Go to Library → click the Instagram Settings icon.
Connected Accounts - You will be routed to Instagram settings. You will see your connected account(s) and the option to import Instagram product tags along with content.
Using TikTok Videos in Tolstoy
Import videos from TikTok with ease using our TikTok integration. Once imported, you can tag products in these videos just like with Instagram content.
