Overview

Already have a product photo featuring a model or mannequin? Use the Try-On (On Model) workflow in AI Studio to digitally place that item onto a different model—giving shoppers a better idea of how the product might look on different body types, ages, or ethnicities.

Steps to Create a Try-On from a Model Image

1. Start the Workflow.
Go to AI Studio → under the Image tab, select Try-On (On Model) → click Start Creating.

2. Choose a Product

Select the product you want to feature from your store’s catalog.

3. Select a Fashion Model
Pick a model from the gallery, or click Show all models to browse the full selection.

You can filter by gender, body type, and other attributes.

Pro Tip: For a consistent brand look, use Upload your own model to apply the same face across all try-ons.

4. Generate the Image

Click Next. The AI will analyze the model and product images and fit the item onto your chosen model.

5. Review and Save

Once the generation is complete, preview the result.

If satisfied, click Approve to add it to your Library for use on product pages or campaigns.

Tips for Better Try-Ons from Model Images

Choose the Right Provider

  • Fashion HQ (recommended): Overlays the exact product image onto the model

    • ✅ Pros: Stays true to original

    • ⚠️ Cons: Fit may sometimes look off

  • Runway: Rebuilds the look using the product and model as references

    • ✅ Pros: Great visual harmony

    • ⚠️ Cons: Product may look different

Use Clean, Well-Cropped Product Photos

  • Avoid busy backgrounds or objects that distract from the garment.

  • Crop to show only the item you want fitted.

Match Model Pose to the Product

  • Items like fitted tops or jackets work best with front-facing, upright poses.

  • Match the pose and angle of the model to the original image as much as possible.
