How to Create and Add the Tolstoy TV Page to Your Shopify Store

Steps to Create Your Tolstoy TV Page

1. Click on Onsite in your Tolstoy dashboard.

2. Click Create Tolstoy to create a new feed.

3. Select the ‘For you’ video feed layout and click start creating.

4. By default, the app will create an automated Tolstoy and use Product tagged playlist.

  • For Automated, select your playlist filter.

  • For Manual, click the plus sign to add individual videos.

Make Videos Shoppable: Add clickable product links directly on videos.
Auto Play: Automatically plays videos as users scroll.

Auto Scroll to Next Video: Seamlessly scrolls to the next video when the current one ends.

Auto-Display Video Description: Shows the video description automatically below or within the video.

Display Creator Handle: Shows the username or handle of the content creator.

Open Link to Creator's Profile: Clicking the handle redirects users to the creator’s page or profile.

Always Start on Mute: Ensures videos play muted by default for a better browsing experience.

Multi-Product Page Features

Title: Main heading for the multi-product section, used to introduce the video or product group.

Text: Supporting text placed near the title to add context or highlight benefits.

Title Text: The actual text content displayed in the Title field.

Divider: A visual separator to break up sections for easier navigation and better layout.

Divider Title: Optional title for the divider section, used to categorize or introduce the next set of content.

Text: Additional text within the divider section to provide further explanation or context.

CTA Text: Customizable button or link text used to guide users toward an action like “Shop the Look,” “Buy Now,” or “Learn More.”

Product Price: Displays the current price of the product shown in the video feed.

Mini CTA: A small call-to-action encouraging quick engagement, like “Buy Now” or “View.”

Button Text: The label on the Mini CTA button.

Primary Action

Add to Cart: Directly adds the product to the cart from the feed view.

Buy Now: Immediately redirects to checkout, bypassing the cart.

Description Options
Description Collapsed by Default: Initially, the product description will be hidden and only visible upon user interaction (e.g., clicking a "Read More" button).

Always Show Full Description: The full product description will always be visible without needing any interaction from the user.
Checkout & shopping bag: Shows your shopping bag and allows users to proceed to checkout directly form Tolstoy.

Sales badge
Text: The label displayed on the sales badge, typically indicating the product is on sale (e.g., "Sale").

Text Color: The color of the text on the sales badge.

Example: #FFFFFF (white)

Background Color: The color of the background behind the sales badge.

Example: #000000 (black)

Border: The option to add a border around the sales badge.

Border Thickness: Controls the thickness of the border.

Example: 1 for a thin border.

Border Color: The color of the border around the sales badge.

Shipping

Text: The message displayed for shipping information.

Text Color: The color of the shipping text.

Show In Stock / Out of Stock: Display stock status of products.

Product Name: Displays the name of the recommended products.

Price: The price displayed alongside recommended products.


Adding the Tolstoy TV Page to Your Shopify Store

1. Log in to your Shopify admin.

2. Go to Online Store > Pages and click Add Page.

3. Title your new page (e.g., “Watch & Shop” or “Our Stories”).

4. Assign a page template if desired then click save.

5. Click the arrow sign to view your saved page.


6. You will now see your newly created page.


📂 Adding the Page to Your Main Menu

1. Go to Online Store > Navigation.

2. Click on Main Menu.

3. Click Add menu item.

4. Set the name (e.g., “Watch”) and link it to the new page you just created.

5. Select Pages.

6. Choose the page you want to add.


7. Once you're done, click on add.

8. You will land on your Menu items, where you can see your newly added page.


9. Click on the Save menu.


⚙️ Adding block and publish ID

1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

2. Select the Pages section and choose your newly created page.

3. Click Add Block, then search for Tolstoy TV Page.


4. Click it and add your Publish ID, then Save.
