A Collection Page Tile is a standalone video tile you can add to your product grid on collection pages. It’s perfect for highlighting new or featured products with accompanying text and buttons designed to drive purchases. Each collection page can feature unique videos and text for a tailored experience.
Set-up
Follow these steps to add a video tile to your Shopify collection pages:
Navigate to Onsite, select Create Tolstoy, and scroll down to Collection page tile.
Click "Start creating."
Go to the Videos tab and choose the collection where the video will appear.
Click "+ Select video" to pick videos from your library. You can also add overlay text and a link.
Note: Only products within the selected collection will feature a video tile. Products not included in the collection will display as usual without impacting the grid.
After integrating the code into your Shopify liquid, the videos will replace the product images in the selected collections.
Customizing Collection Page Tile Settings
To modify the appearance and behavior of your video tile:
Go to the Design tab in your admin panel.
Customize the following settings as needed:
Video Settings:
Autoplay: Enable to play videos automatically.
Loop: Toggle on to repeat the video continuously.
Video Scaling: Choose between "Fill" (Scales video to cover entire container) or "Fit" (Scales video to fit entirely within the container)
Controls: Add buttons for play or mute.
Content Settings:
Layout: Adjust desktop/mobile positioning, stacking, alignment, spacing, and padding.
Content Background: Toggle on to enable a background for your tile.
Heading & Subheading: Personalize text color, font, and sizes for desktop/mobile.
Button Settings: Modify background, text, and border colors, thickness, radius, font, size, and padding.
Installation
Click Publish in the upper-right corner.
Have a developer insert the
<div>into your Shopify collection’s product grid liquid at the desired position or reach out to our support team for assistance.Save the changes in Shopify liquid to apply.
